  • Define elite standards, behaviours, and mindsets for success
  • Eliminate habits that block cohesion
  • Learn how to “lift for each other” and bring out the best in teammates

“Matt’s words reminded the boys that while trophies and titles are significant, the legacy we leave and the relationships we build are what endure.”

“It is with immense gratitude that I acknowledge the pivotal role Matt Cogin played in supporting our 1st Basketball team in achieving something truly historic. We won the GPS Basketball Premiership for the first time in nearly 20 years.

From the outset of the season, Matt committed himself to building the cultural foundations necessary for high performance. He led a series of preseason workshops that were instrumental in developing trust, unity, and a shared purpose among the players. These sessions encouraged vulnerability, built resilience, and created a sense of brotherhood that carried us through the highs and lows of the season.

Matt Cogin’s quiet presence in the locker room and on the sidelines throughout the season allowed him to understand the team’s journey on a deeper level. Without needing to speak often, he listened, observed, and supported at just the right moments. He has been a steady influence that helped shape the team’s success.

His contribution culminated in a powerful keynote speech at our end-of-season dinner. Matt’s words reminded the boys that while trophies and titles are significant, the legacy we leave and the relationships we build are what endure.

The Premiership was a result of hard work, talent, and belief. Matt was central to nurturing that belief. His ability to connect, challenge, and inspire made a lasting impact on the lives of the players and the broader culture of our program. We are deeply thankful for his guidance and leadership.”
